Harvard and public health master’s degrees

Getting a degree can be tough, it’s rigorous, takes a lot of time, effort, and a lot of money as well. Not to mention trying to even plan ahead for your degree, especially if you’re going to get a master’s degree. Likewise there is a huge payout, if you take the time and effort to go through the crazy life of going to school for a master’s degree, well the payoff is huge.
The same can be said for a mph degree from Harvard! Getting a degree certainly isn’t easy at Harvard, let alone a master’s degree in one of their top ranked programs, but let me tell you, oh boy is it worth it! Harvard by far offers one of the top master’s of ph programs.
I would know, I’ve been there, I’ve gone through the pain stress and headache, and I can tell you right now, it’s worth it. Going through the program for a master’s degree at Harvard was difficult, but I’d do it again.
Well, I can’t say I blame you, getting a degree is a smart thing. I’m going to give you some tips that I wish I had had before I applied and went through the program.
  1. Decide exactly what you want to do – Harvard offers some awesome dual degree programs. Take a look at them and decide if you’d like to do one. It’s a lot of work, but as you already know, the work pays off in the end.
  2. Plan, plan, oh and plan some more – One of the biggest mistakes people make in a master’s program is they don’t organize. If you want to truly succeed, you need to plan out your days. Buy yourself a planner and make sure you plan daily. Trust me, if you’re like me and you were working while going through this program, you’ll be glad you planned. Even though Harvard offers their MPH degree online you shouldn’t feel like you can slack off, it’s always key to plan ahead.
  3. Feel free to talk to the professors – This is a big one, I know you feel like you don’t need to. Or maybe embarrassed, or a bit prideful as you’re a grown up. But trust me, get rid of that pride and ask those professors, that’s why you’re paying them so much! Plus it’s much better to swallow some pride and pass a class, instead of failing because you wouldn’t ask a question.
  4. Take it seriously – Someone once told me, make everything you do your profession. In other words, if you’re at school be a professional student. I can’t tell you how true this is. Don’t slack off, treat your schoolwork like a career. Because really in the end it is, especially in a master’s program.
  5. Don’t take yourself to seriously – A lot of people in programs think they’re already smart and know everything. I know how that goes, because I was one of them! You’re going to have to realize that this isn’t true and really buckle down and study, otherwise you’ll go nowhere fast.

Ready to get started?

The real key towards succeeding in a master’s degree at Harvard is in your dedication. Trust me, you’ve already made a great choice at choosing this program instead of the other programs. Don’t sit around and wait to get started. Start applying, get a planner, and get ready to work!
